FALCONRY DISPLAYS 2007
ENTERTAINING* EXCITING* SPECTACULAR* INFORMATIVE* AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
2007 will be Steve Wright's twenty-first year of public displays. To still be as popular as ever (and still with some of his very first clients continuing to book him) he must be doing something right. The main theme of our business is to provide a reliable and professional service. Knowing the hard work that goes into staging a successful event we believe that it is our job to make yours easier. When you book Steve you will know that at least one element of your event will run smoothly, Moreover, if your schedule goes astray Steve is able to shorten or lengthen the duration of his displays to get your timetable back on track.
Although most promoters will want 2 x 30 minute displays we consider that you have "bought" us for the day, so that we will provide additional shows to fill in "dead" arena time or will reduce our time in the ring without being divas. At one show we added an extra 30 minutes on to our display to distract the audience from a major accident in an adjoining ring. With the Foot & Mouth epidemic we volunteered to run a falconry ring all day for an agricultural society that had to cancel its livestock classes. In neither case did we expect or ask for any extra money.
Our free-flying displays are always spectacular and well-presented. Steve has the gift of communicating with people of all ages and his commentaries are known for being entertaining and informative. In each show, and they are all different as Steve has yet to find a bird of prey that will keep to the script, he tries to involve members of the public. The display normally consists of a selection of falcons, owls, hawks and buzzards from different continents, thus giving as wide a representation as possible. When the birds are not being flown they will be on static display. This allows the public to photograph them, ask any questions and often handle them under supervision. This is an on-going attraction throughout the day and one that we work very hard on.
A formal arena program is not always appropriate to every event and Steve is happy to provide a mix'n'mingle type presentation throughout the day. Equally costume is available for themed historic events. PLEASE DISCUSS YOUR EVENT WITH US TO GET EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT.

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION AT YOUR EVENT
1. An open-field arena measuring a minimum of 30yd x 30yd (no maximum).
2. A hands-free radio microphone.
3. A static display area (10yd x 5yd approx) with parking for a vehicle nearby (keeps bird food away from sensitive members of the public and also allows accessible transport in the event of a bird needing to get to a vet. or to be tracked if it has disappeared). Before you start worrying we have never had to leave early,in the last 20 years, to do either of these.
4. Passes for vehicle and staffing as reasonably requested.
5. In the event of the show being cancelled with less than six weeks notice we reserve the right to claim the full fee.
6. In the event of circumstances beyond our control (e.g. inclement weather) preventing us from performing displays the fee will still be payable. No display will be cancelled without prior consultation with the show organisers.
WE PROVIDE
1. Professionally presented displays with experienced, healthy, captive-bred birds of prey. All our birds are worked regularly in public and are not stressed by this.
2. An attended static display at which the public are catered for throughout the day.
3. Public Liability Insurance to £5 million in any number of individual claims.
